Boardmasters 2023 announced Florence & The Machine, Liam Gallagher, and more in their first wave

It’s that time of the year where festival announcements appear to be flying in thick and fast. Now, Boardmasters joins the ranks of summer jaunts boasting just what they have on offer for 2023. The Cornish festival returns in 2023 off the back of an incredible 2022, which saw a whole week of sun, sand, surf, and vibes all soundtracked by an incredible array of artists. Not to mention that it was a total sell-out event with 2023 shaping up to be a similar story. As we have mentioned in a previous article, we suggest joining the tens of thousands of people and sign up to the pre-sale link (you have till midnight tonight), that goes live tomorrow at 10am.

Now, as we breeze through the colder, darker days Boardmasters have provided us with some light in the form of their huge first wave announcement that includes Saturday and Sunday headliners. So, your headliners are Liam Gallagher (Saturday) and Florence & The Machine (Sunday) and announced with them is Mercury Prize Winner Little Simz, Bob Vylan, Kid Kapichi, Wunderhorse, and more.

In addition to a schmogorboard of music Boardmasters have announced Surf and Adventure packages, meaning you get to make the most of the Cornish coastline during the festival. Surf lessons will cater to all levels and abilities with sessions available Thursday – Sunday.

On site, festival goers will be spoiled for choice with wellness activities at the Zennor Haven, delicious local produce at the Cornish Market, shopping at The Boulevard slow fashion village, get involved in Beach Cleans with Surfers Against Sewage, tons of tasty street food, the UK’s biggest silent disco, Boutique Camping, Family fun and much more.

Of course, the famous surf competition, the Boardmasters Open, which has been held at Fistral beach, Newquay since 1981 is to return. Here you can watch the UK’s and surfers from across the globe battle out to be crowned champion. Divisions include; Boardmasters OPEN men’s and women’s division and the Boardmasters Longboard OPEN men’s and women’s division. Plus Boardmasters Junior OPEN boys and girls division – more info will be dropped early next year.
