Driving guitars, tight hats and belting vocals thrust this new single by Bristol Indie four-piece Adult Leisure into the rock ether!

Outlining an introspective insight into the lingering effects of childhood, with all it fears and vulnerabilities, Adult Leisure mark their recent signing to WME agency with a single that has a nostalgia that moves and broods.

The song echoes with influences such as Kings of Leon and Kasabian, I think primarily due to the guitars and vocals performance. The song chugs along effortlessly and takes us through childhood and how even into adulthood the fears and vulnerabilities still remain, but manifest in a different way. Lyrics such a โ€˜big room and little bedsโ€™ highlight how as you get older your fears change – as your surroundings do –  yet you still can feel like that little child on their bed, in a much larger room, with all the unknowns and fears that that can present.

The backing vocals (some belting, some screaming) and the evocative lead guitar with the tom fills all underpin this song. It’s anthemic and it is clear this band, with each new release, are solidifying their status within the scene. Adult Leisure are maturing and realising their sound more and more. With their new deal at WME and this single (ahead of their new album), these Bristol lads are getting better and better.
