The band also confirm run of UK in-store shows, a headline tour this Autumn and share the new album’s title track.
Constantly evolving, inventing, re-inventing and re-re-inventing their unique style of electro-art rock, pop, country and punk, Fat Dog have announced their second album ‘Cancel Me (I’m Tired)’ will be released on October 2nd.
‘Cancel Me (I’m Tired)’ began to form when the band started to throw themselves into the studio following an intense US tour, where every member of the band took turns in a brief unravelling. ‘At some point on that tour, everyone had a small breakdown of some sort’, says Chris Hughes who remembered losing his mind in LA by bashing his head against a wall wearing an American Football helmet. Fat Dog’s frontman Joe Love then subsequently got married in Vegas.
The upcoming album is said to mention addiction, family ties, love, AI, ancestry, extra- terrestrials, Chris Tarrant, S&M, B&M, H&M and M&Ms.
The title track to ‘Cancel Me (I’m Tired)’ follows the release of ‘Go Fuck Urself’, released in May, and is inspired by John Lennon’s ‘How Do You Sleep’ combined with Altin Gün if they were under siege by a thumping club beat.
Fat Dog’s new album ‘Cancel Me (I’m Tired)‘ is set to release on October 2nd.
