Scottish artist Her Picture unveils new, fresh sound with latest single ‘The Ram’

Every now and then an artist emerges that has that special something. That unknown element that puts them above their peers and today we see that magic sparkle in Scottish artist Her Picture. The project led and created by singer Anny Tahaney recently underwent a slight rebrand bringing forward more pop-infused elements, stepping away from the alt-rock sound of previous releases. This is clear in the latest single ‘The Ram’, a guitar driven and upbeat release.

‘The Ram’ opens with Tahaney’s soft vocals serenading the listener, brushing gently with an acoustic guitar. This softly grabs the listener by the hand drawing them near until the song explodes into a near pop-punk guitar hook that is equal parts fun and infectious. Hard hitting percussion comes swinging down like a hammer on an anvil whilst the vocals remain soft, yet not overwhelmed by the instruments that surround it. Throughout, the clear talent of the show is the strong vocals from Tahaney with the range on full affect, bringing forward soft whispers and biting power. It’s an incredibly exciting single that will engage listeners from beginning to end.

Currently the Scottish artist is flying under the radar but if the new music stays within this bracket, Her Picture will be dominating the airwaves very soon.
