Hot Milk’s headline show at the O2 Forum Kentish Town last Tuesday was an electrifying experience that mirrored the brilliance of their debut album, “A Call To The Void,” released in August.

The band’s dynamic performance and commanding stage presence held the audience spellbound throughout, showcasing complete crowd control.

The setlist was a masterful blend of energetic anthems like the classic “Candy Coated Lie$” and poignant ballads such as “Breathing Underwater,” prompting a wave of emotions, including tears from band member Han who went on and shared a few words about the writing process of such a powerful song. A personal standout for me was “Over Your Dead Body,” where Jim’s intense screams along with violins created a biblical atmosphere, elevating the entire performance of the rest of the band.

The rollercoaster of emotions felt by the audience emphasised the exceptional and hard to come by quality that distinguishes the great live shows from the good. Hot Milk’s palpable connection with their fans underscored the significance of the night, marking it as a special and memorable occasion for both the musicians, their devoted fans and new listeners alike. In their biggest headline show to date, Hot Milk unequivocally proved their status as a formidable force in the alternative music scene, we cannot wait to see what they do next.
