One of Amsterdam’s most beloved indie bands, Pip Blom, have released the first single from their upcoming EP, ‘Grip

Amsterdam’s Pip Blom have announced the release of their new EP ‘Grip,’ out on 6th June. Alongside the announcement, the band have shared new single Ring‘.

The new track is a push into a new musical direction for the group, who are diving into the club music sound for their next release. Alongside the release of ‘Grip’ EP they’ll be playing club shows across the UK and Netherlands this summer to turn their new music into a live experience.

Ring’ is bouncy and electronic, the lyrics explore feelings of longing and yearning for a love that may be unrequited. Demands of ‘say you love me’ and ‘show me that you care’ are repeated throughout the track, proving the song to have a true emotional core amongst the upbeat and experimental sound.

On the themes of ‘Grip’, singer-songwriter Pip Blom shares “I’ve had a pretty rough year with lots of difficult events in my private life happening. And throughout this period I started to notice how much I craved to find some sort of grip. It’s difficult to have this overpowering sense of searching for something to hold onto, as unfortunately, as we all know, you can’t really get that. Life is very unpredictable.”

New EP ‘Grip’ is out on 6th June.
