Khruangbin announce their fourth studio album ‘A LA SALA’ with the release of their latest single ‘A Love International’
Khruangbin’s fourth studio album, ‘A LA SALA‘, is set for release on 5 April 2024 on Dead Oceans. In pre-album anticipation, the trio’s first single release, ‘A Love International’, invites you into a dreamlike groove teasing the summer of festivals that will frame the band’s fluid, cross-genre sounds.
Dominated by instrumentals, ‘A Love International’s’ velvet bassline converses with its free-love guitar melody. It’s an easy track to get lost in, transporting you to the rhythmic tangerine moments heard in their collaborations with Leon Bridges on ‘Texas Sun’ and ‘Mariella’. The tempo is contemplative and yet saunters with a hazy 70’s disposition.ย
The track’s textured sound flows through its identity, rich in multicultural influences. The instrumentals do all the talking, whilst ethereal vocal sound waves are as bewitching as they are tender. The blend of beats and percussion lifts you towards a playful romance before fading out, leaving you standing on a beach wondering if all of it even happened.ย
Khruangbin’s upcoming album ‘A LA SALA‘ is a composition of the band’s creative past, with ‘A Love International’ being one piece of the 11-track jigsaw, it’s a delicious introduction to their spring album release, which, with its seven different album covers for multiple vinyl editions is available to pre-order now.ย
